We all came here with at least one thing in common; our pets or our love for animals.  I suppose there are people here from all parts of the world, but I just haven't had the opportunity to make the rounds.  I've met litterally hundreds of people on the net; some are still very close friends and others are, well...out of the picture.  I guess the best thing that has ever happened to me because of the internet is how I met my boyfriend, fell in love, and moved in together.  we had both been married before; him once..me three times.  Neither of us have any desire to get married, but have made a lasting commitment to each other.  We were hundreds of miles apart...and found each other.  It's really amazing how so many people, from all parts of the world can meet each other.  20 years ago this would never have happened; doesn't it blow your mind how technology works?  It does mine.

So, a little about myself:  46 years old, three grown kids..one is married but no grandkids...yet.  My baby girl will probably be getting married by the end of the year...that will be a hard pill to swallow as we are very very close.  My oldest son is a professional rock climber.  It's not as glamourous as it sounds.  He doesn't make a lot of money doing it, but he gets his picture in a lot of magazines and gets free gear...so, he's doing what he loves, makes pizzas for money, and is living the life he enjoys the most.  A mother can't ask for more than that for her kid.  My middle child, son, is the one who is married.  They tied the knot almost a year ago, but as anybody knows about marriage, the first year is always the hardest.  They are getting through it, hopefully.  Ups and downs...that's life and that's marriage.

I really wish they would get the forums working because that's the best place to mix and mingle and get to know each other. I've sent several emails to the admin concerning this, so hopefully they'll get the bugs out and we can all start chatting.
