Sneaky has a unique story and he wants me to share it with you. Sneaky came from Mexico. He was a street dog who was brought to a clinic I volunteer at. In addition to the many pets local residents brought to be fixed, he was neutered, and then let back out to the dirt road where he had been for who knows how long, making it the best he could, with the other street dogs. In addition it having been neutered, he also had a severely lacerated foot, which was stitched up while he was sleeping. Another volunteer and I were leaving at the end of a long day, and when I turned around at the end of the road, there was Sneaky, laying up against an old building, in the dirt. The other volunteer and I looked at each other, and both knew at the same time we couldn't just leave him there to get an infection, so we decided we had to catch him and bring him home. He wasn't easy to nab, but with help from the kids, we finally got him.
Sneaky has been with me for 3 weeks now, and in that short time, he has learned that people are not all mean, and food doesn't have to be fought for. He walks on a leash, and loves to sleep beside me. He is the most appreciative dog I have ever known. He loves my cat, Rose, who is in the picture with him. He is my boy, and I am in love. If I could just leave him for 5 minutes.
